Pattern
Words After
The answer comes first, and each clue can follow it to make a familiar pair. Flip the order in your head.
Example. Tennis, Lamp, Mountain, and Contents can all follow Table. The answer is Table: table tennis, table lamp, table mountain, table of contents.
How Words After works
Recognition guide
This is the mirror of Words Before, and solvers mix them up constantly. Write the candidate first, then the clue. Table + Tennis works. Tennis + Table does not, and your ear usually catches that faster than your eyes.
Common starter words do a lot of the work: book, fire, house, time, court, water, head. If the clues are plain nouns that pair with everyday objects, test this pattern first.
